This talk will clarify the internal and external (client-facing) dimensions of the commercial mandate of an Accounting and Valuation Strategy team inside a global investment bank, as well as the dynamics of its interaction with the principal business divisions (sales and trading, investment banking, institutional asset management and wealth management). Examples of actual projects will cover aspects of financial accounting, modeling, valuation, earnings quality, and portfolio management.
