With the release of the Brigham Young University Accounting Research Rankings 2023 in February 2024 - acclaimed as an objective and important ranking to watch for accounting research, SoA is placed in the top tier of institutions. SoA is ranked 1st in the world for "Archival Financial"; Top 10 in the world for “All Areas and All Disciplines Research”, "Citation (All Publications)", and "Archival Research (All Topics)".

In addition to claiming the world’s top spot in "Archival Financial" 2023, SoA has retained Asia’s top spots for “All Areas and All Disciplines Research”, "Citation (All Publications)", and “Archival Research (All Topics)”.

A high ranking signals that SoA has the highest research productivity as compared to other peer schools worldwide, particularly in the fields that SoA emphasises - archival-based financial accounting research. It also signals the quality of accounting education and research in Singapore.

SOAR Activities

SOAR also organises a major international Accounting Symposium in December, featuring some of the world's top scholars and experts on accounting, governance, reporting, and standard-setting. It provides a platform for researchers from SoA  and top schools around the world to share ideas and stimulate debate through paper presentations and discussions.
