About the program

The SMU-ZJU Doctor of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) (SMU-ZJU DBA(A&F)) programme is a partnership between SMU School of Accountancy and Zhejiang University School of Management. The programme is designed to groom scholars and senior management to pursue practice-driven research to create business impact. On top of research training, DBA candidates will examine the industrial applications of theory through coursework and develop pedagogical competencies through specialised workshops. Candidates will develop a portfolio of skills required for influencing management practice; conducting applied and field research; and teaching effectively, with a specialisation in the field of Accounting and Finance.

The SMU-ZJU DBA(A&F) programme also benefits from strong partnerships with many government agencies and well-known enterprises in Singapore and China, including the Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in Shanghai, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Singapore Global Network (SGN), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Singapore Airlines (SIA), United Overseas Bank (UOB), the Development Bank of Singapore Limited (DBS), Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Temasek, etc.

新加坡管理大学-浙江大学工商管理博士（财务与金融）（SMU-ZJU DBA(A&F)）项目是由新加坡管理大学会计学院（SMU School of Accountancy）与浙江大学管理学院（Zhejiang University School of Management）合作开设的博士项目。该项目旨在培养学者及高级管理人才，推动他们开展以实践为导向的研究，并将研究成果转化为实际的商业影响力。除研究训练之外，DBA学员还将通过课程学习深入探讨管理理论在产业和商业实践中的应用，并通过专业专题工作坊培养教学与教育方面的专业能力。学员将逐步建立一套能够支持其影响管理实践、开展应用型及实地研究，以及进行高效教学的综合技能体系，并专注于会计与金融领域。

此外，SMU-ZJU DBA(A&F) 项目还拥有广泛而强大的政企合作网络，与新加坡及中国众多政府机构和知名企业建立了合作关系，包括：新加坡驻上海总领事馆，新加坡经济发展局（EDB），新加坡全球网络（SGN），新加坡金融管理局（MAS），新加坡航空（SIA），大华银行（UOB），星展银行（DBS），新加坡交易所（SGX），淡马锡（Temasek）等。

整体而言，该项目强调将学术研究、企业实践与教学能力相结合，尤其适合希望在会计与金融领域进行高水平应用研究，同时提升自身管理实践影响力和学术能力的高级管理人员及专业人士。
