Message From The Programme Director

Welcome to School of Accountancy (SOA) of Singapore Management University! We are a community of scholars and educators and our doctoral students are an integral part of this community. The scholarship produced by our faculty and students addresses societal challenges in the areas of accounting and financial markets at both national and international levels. 

Doctoral education is critical to cultivating the creative researchers, innovative educators, and visionary leaders of future generations. At the SOA, the doctoral program is designed to deepen students’ knowledge, broaden their horizons, and strengthen their capacities of conducting independent and responsible research. Our program offers two distinctive features: a very high level of engagement between distinguished faculty and doctoral students and a very generous financial support for students in terms of both living expenses and research activities.
