NTU Audit & Accounting Challenge

NTU Audit and Accounting Challenge 2026

1st Runner Up

SMU Bachelor of Accountancy students Ashmit Bansal, Ong Zhen Yu, Winston Soh, Ooi Jian Hui and Szeto Hui Lin, emerged 1st Runner Up at the Audit & Accounting Challenge 2026, organised by NTU. Team SMU Audit Alchemist emerged 2nd out of 61 teams from various tertiary institutions, after 3 grueling rounds of competition testing their audit and accounting knowledge and its application in case studies.

2026 IMA Asiapac Student Case Competition

Champion Team

A mixed team of SMU Bachelor of Accountancy students consisting of Paul Krishna Thanesh, Toh Yue Tai, and SMU students Ernest Lam and Angelina Jennings Kurniawan, emerged Champion at the above competition.

IMA Asiapac Student Case Competition 2nd

1st Runner Up

An all SOA team emerged 1st Runner Up at the same competition. They comprise SMU Bachelor of Accountancy recent graduates Lim Yin Phng, Lam Ting Kang, Sneha Audrey Peter and Justin Jude Maluenda Dionio, who joined the competition before graduation.

EY Young Tax Professional of the Year 2026

SMU Bachelor of Accountancy student Rae Loi emerged winner of the 2026 EY Young Tax Professional of the Year Singapore competition.

3MT 2026

SMU 3MT Competition 2026

PhD in Accounting student Huo Yanxi emerged 1st Runner-up at the SMU Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2026. The Three Minute Thesis Competition is an annual showcase of the research conducted by SMU's postdoctoral students.
