We congratulate SMU School of Accountancy Faculty and Staff who have been recognised in the 2026 National Awards for their outstanding performance and service towards Singapore’s tertiary education sector.

Lee Kong Chian Chair Professor of Accounting, Cheng Qiang, has been recognised on Stanford University’s list of “World’s Top 2%” scientists on the 'World's Top 2% Scientists Network'.

In a Business Times commentary, SMU Dean of the School of Accountancy and Lee Kong Chian Professor of Accounting Zhang Liandong said that artificial intelligence (AI) is not mainly a labour problem for accountancy but also a credibility problem for capital markets.
