In October 2025, students of the Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) and Master of Science in Accounting (Data & Analytics) (MSA) programmes at SMU School of Accountancy (SOA) visited the A*STAR Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (A*STAR ISCE²) on Jurong Island — Singapore’s national research hub for sustainable energy, chemicals, and low-carbon innovation.

Bryan Lee, an SMU Accountancy student with a second major in Health Economics and Management, is using his interdisciplinary education to improve healthcare delivery. Combining financial acumen with a passion for community care, he hopes to pursue a medical degree and contribute to building a more sustainable and equitable healthcare system.

On 1 November 2025, the SMU School of Accountancy (SOA) faculty, students and alumni from the Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) and Master of Science in Accounting (Data & Analytics) (MSA) Programmes took part in Walk of a Lifetime 2025, an annual autism advocacy event organised by St Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC).

SMU Accountancy student Lee Hui En enrolled in the Accounting Data and Analytics Work-Study Elective (ADA WSE) in early 2025 and gained invaluable experience applying technology to real-world tax processes at KPMG.
