About SOAR Accounting Symposium
Prima Limited was one of the earliest benefactors of SMU, and has been a steadfast partner of the university over the years. In 2000, just two months after SMU’s establishment, Prima's gift of $1.5 million established the Cheng Tsang Man Professorship in Accountancy, and in 2011, it contributed $1 million to establish the School of Accountancy Research Symposium. Through this annual research symposium, SMU hopes to profile School of Accountancy Research or SOAR, and SMU internationally, and to enhance the School of Accountancy’s standing as an internationally renowned research school.
