Data Analytics Advisory Board (DAAB)
Objective
The purpose of the Data Analytics Advisory Board (DAAB) is to advise the Dean of the School and act as a sounding board for strategic matters in the areas of data & analytics. Advisory board members enable the School to enhance the quality of its education, research and community engagement efforts and to become even more distinctive, influential, and relevant to all its stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Board
- To provide advice, feedback and critique on the School’s ongoing programmes, activities, strategies and future plans in the areas of data & analytics.
- To provide insights on the emerging trends, changes and development of data analytics practices relevant to the School’s programmes and activities based on vantage points of their own organizational experiences and market knowledge.
- To assist with the development and maintenance of strategic relationships and networks with business, government and the community – local and international and to help with securing student projects, internship and employment opportunities.
- To generate opportunities for research and other forms of collaborative work between faculty members, business and government entities.

Ms Irene Liu holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the Nanyang Technological University and is also a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). She was a Partner with PwC’s Southeast Asia Consulting and led the risk and regulatory consulting practice across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam. She had led multiple financial institutions, mainly banks, in their finance, risk and regulatory change implementations, including supporting the set up of their data governance functions.
