The School of Accountancy (SoA) Teaching Excellence Recognition ceremony recognises faculty for their contributions to teaching excellence at SoA. Faculty are recognised in the following categories:
- Most Outstanding Teacher
This award recognises outstanding faculty’s efforts to develop and deliver SMU pedagogy under the BAcc programme. Candidates are those with more than four years of full-time teaching experience.
- Most Promising Teacher
This award recognises outstanding teaching potential among junior faculty members to develop and deliver SMU pedagogy under the BAcc programme. Candidates are those with four or fewer years of full-time teaching experience.
- Most Innovative Teacher
This award recognises faculty members who make significant contributions to promoting new ways of teaching that have an impact on enhancing learning under the BAcc programme.
- Most Outstanding Adjunct
This award recognises adjunct faculty’s efforts to develop and deliver SMU pedagogy under the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in SoA. Candidates are those teaching at SoA as an adjunct for at least two terms.
- Most Outstanding PG Teacher
This award recognises outstanding faculty’s efforts to develop and deliver SMU pedagogy under the SoA postgraduate programmes.
